Dear Customers:
I am pleased to inform you that my company, Altus Biotech®; as of January 2024, has a commercial agreement with Bioagro® S.A., to be the new exclusive distributor of the plant nutrient called Biorend®based on chitosan (Poly-D-Glucosamine) at 2.5% with COFEPRIS registration number RSCO-133/XI/02.
The addition of Biorend®to the Biosolutions portfolio is a commitment of Altus Biotech® to continue offering new differentiated technologies in order to improve crop yields and quality in a sustainable way. Biorend®offers several positive effects on crops, such as:
1.- Stimulation of growth:
Improved vegetative growth: Promotes the development of roots, stems and leaves that can translate into increased yields.
2.- Improving crop quality:
Increased nutrient content, such as vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
Better appearance (color, size, shape) and taste.
3.- Induction of defense responses:
Strengthening of natural defenses: It acts as an elicitor, stimulating the production of phytoalexins and other defense compounds in plants.
Resistance to abiotic stress: Helps plants resist adverse conditions such as drought, cold and salinity.
Formation of protective films:
Chitosan can form a physical barrier on plant surfaces, protecting them from colonization by pathogens.
At Altus Biotech® we are confident that Biorend®will be a strategic player in sustainable crop management. Finally, it is important to mention that Biorend® will be available for commercialization in a 20 L presentation, starting in the third week of August 2024.
